JOIN US! In the fight against Childhood Cancer

Manderley is excited to announce that we are teaming up with CHEO to support a worthy cause! For the month of July, $20 from all Blue Cube Minis of Garden Soil sold in Ottawa through will be donated to the CHEO foundation Oncology fund. Help support our community while you Green Up! with Manderley this July.

At any time, there are over 300 children and youth battling cancer at CHEO. Even though childhood cancers are rare, an average of 75 new patients are diagnosed each year with this complex disease. Lily Jewett is one of them. You can watch her story here:

CHEO needs our help to raise funds towards the $2.1 million needed annually to support the fight against childhood cancers.

$300k each year is used towards programs such as inpatient, outpatient, and psychological services that support children and their families dealing with cancer. Programs such as Interlink Nurse, where nurses move with their patient and family between hospital, school, community and their home, serve as a critical connection for children and families to access the support they need throughout their cancer care.  Another $300k a year goes towards equipment that is vital to the treatment and well being of patients.

A whopping $1.5M each year is dedicated to life saving research. Researchers are looking to understand the causes of cancer and find life-saving treatments for children. Donations like Manderley’s will help in realizing more effective treatments, and support towards finding a cure for these young patients.
